I find it interesting that in the letter from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to Entergy dated March 1, 2013, “Therefore, the licensee’s proposed alternative is authorized in accordance with 10 CFR 50.55a(a)(3)(ii) at VY,” and yet the “coasting down” started on Feb. 8 with 99 percent and has been dropping since to the 91 percent level of March 5.

And yet people still believe that the NRC is not just a rubber stamp in this process.
