Museum hosts appraisal fair
BENNINGTON — The Bennington Museum is hosting its annual appraisal fair from 1 to 4 p.m., March 30.
Visitors can bring family heirlooms or the odd, quirky piece they always wanted to know about, get it appraised and have their questions answered.
Among the appraisers is Charles Flint, of Charles L. Flint Antiques in Lenox, Mass., who has performed appraisals and authentications for many museums, as well as private collectors and insurance companies.
Clarke Comollo, of Clarke Comollo Antiques & Appraisals in Manchester, comes from a family with three generations dedicated to the antique and appraisal business.
Appraisals are $5 per item, with a limit of five items.
While at the museum, visitors may view the new galleries featuring paintings by Rockwell Kent, Ralph Earl, Francis Colburn, William Morris Hunt and others.
The Bennington Museum is located at 75 Main St. in Bennington, in the Shires of Vermont.
