SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — The U.S. Marshals Service says it has arrested a Vermont fugitive who was wanted for possession and sale of heroin.

Raul Velez, 43, of Lyndonville, aka “Tony Laboy,” was picked up Monday in Springfield, Mass., by the marshals service on an arrest warrant from Burlington. He has been on the run since 2010.

The marshals service said Velez was previously arrested by the service in 2003 for distribution of heroin and in 2007 on a probation violation.

Velez was in court Tuesday in Massachusetts, charged as a fugitive from justice.
