BURLINGTON — Television stations Fox 44 and ABC 22 are under new ownership.

Nexstar Broadcasting Group Inc. announced Monday that it has completed the acquisition of the stations, which were owned by Smith Media LLC and affiliates, for $16.9 million.

The two stations share a local news broadcast and operate out of the Burlington area.
