• GMO labeling enables freedom
    March 06,2013

GMO labeling is talked about right now. I have a hard time understanding why this debate is even necessary.

We are told over and over that we are “free people,” even soldiers fight for our freedom. And wanting to know what is in my food is too much freedom? Wanting to decide myself what I want to eat is too much? I’m not even talking about that many countries do not allow genetically modified organisms because some scientists — the ones who don’t work for Monsanto — think they are dangerous and have dangerous side effects. I’m just talking about my freedom to decide what I want to eat. Labeling is absolutely necessary.

Don’t Vermonters share this sentiment with me?
