MONTPELIER - A dead body was found near in Hubbard Park Sunday morning.
Parks Director Geoff Beyer said a man, possibly in his 40s, was found on a rear terrace by the tower, but officials determined the body had not fallen from the structure. Montpelier Fire Chief Bob Gowans said police pronounced the man dead on scene.
Police would not provide any details of the incident Monday in part because the family had not been notified.
Beyer said there was no blood or twisted limbs.
“To me, the impressions in the snow looked like someone who had been sitting there for awhile,” Beyer said. “There was no sign of ... serious injury, not even slight injury.”MORE IN This Just InStaff Report Full StoryBy SUSAN SMALLHEER Full StoryBy WILSON RING Full Story -
