RICHMOND — Two snowboarders who went out of bounds at Vermont’s Bolton Valley resort have been found after spending the night outdoors.
Police said 22-year-old Maxwell Hoffman of Springfield, Va., and 21-year-old Joshua Murray of Woodbridge, Va., emerged from the woods Friday as search efforts were getting under way.
The two men said they had gone out of bounds off the back side of Bolton Valley toward Waterbury when they became lost Thursday. Police said they were able to start a fire and build a makeshift shelter where the spent the night.
Both men suffered hypothermia and frostbite.
