VERNON — Vermont State Police say eight Dartmouth College students escaped injury when the van they were in rolled over after hitting a patch of ice on Interstate 91 in the town of Vernon.
Police said rescue crews were called at about 7:15 a.m. Friday to an area about five miles north of the Massachusetts line.
Police said the van was carrying members of Dartmouth’s Ultimate Frisbee team, who were headed to a tournament in Virginia.
The van went off the left side of the road and hit an embankment. The van came to rest on its side.
All the occupants were wearing seatbelts.
No one was injured in the crash, but one passenger was taken to the hospital for what police describe as an “anxiety issue.”MORE IN Vermont NewsJERICHO — Flash flooding from record-tying rainfalls in parts of northern Vermont closed roads...
