BARRE — A Granite City man is facing multiple felony drug charges after allegedly selling narcotics to an informant in 2010.

Cornelio “Corn” Martinez, 42, pleaded not guilty to three felony counts of selling a depressant, stimulant or narcotic and a misdemeanor charge of selling less than half an ounce of marijuana Thursday in Washington County criminal court in Barre. He faces a maximum sentence of 17 years in prison and a $85,000 fine.

According to the affidavit submitted by the attorney general, Martinez sold morphine pills, Percocet pills and marijuana to an informant with the Vermont Drug Task Force of the Vermont State Police from October 2010 to December 2010. The sales happened in and around Martinez’s apartment on Corti Street, the affidavit said.

Martinez has convictions for marijuana possession in 2011 and driving under the influence in 2008.
