The following is a sampling of calls Barre police responded to in recent days.
On North Main Street, some- one stole nicotine patches and money from a checking account.
People were repeatedly walking across a man’s lawn on South Main Street.
Someone was trying to fill a dead person’s prescription on South Main Street.
On South Main Street, a man said his brother stole a gun from his truck.
A woman was walking in a pasture near Maplewood Avenue and saw a light under a tree but did not want to go check it out on her own.
A big pile of glass was in the middle of Prospect Street.
A two-car accident occurred on Berlin Street around 7:30 a.m. No injuries were reported.
Stolen property was found on Washington Street.
A raccoon had been hit by a car and police had to shoot it.
A dog on Brook Street was hitched outside and muzzled where it couldn’t get to any food or water.
Medication was stolen from Seminary Street.
An inspection sticker was stolen off a vehicle on Washington Street.
Someone stole mail on Summer Street.
A pit bull mix was coming onto a woman’s property on North Seminary Street.
On Washington Street, a woman was walking her dog at Elmwood Cemetery.
A wallet was found on North Main Street.
On Tremont Street, a young male was riding a lawn mower in the road.
Someone attempted break-ins on Church Street and Summer Street.
Someone stole around $1,000 worth of culinary equipment out of a woman’s car on Harrington Avenue.
An 8- or 9-year-old girl was walking to school alone on the bike path near Parkside Terrace.
A dog ran out and bit a man above the ankle while he was walking on Seminary Street.
A man dressed in black, around 6 feet tall, kept walking near a house on Brook Street.
Someone stole a television and wine from a home on Batchelder Street.
On Prospect Street, someone went into a woman’s basement.
Four or five gunshots were heard on Zan Street.
Someone broke into a residence on Lawrence Avenue.
Kids were throwing stuff at vehicles driving by on Brook Street.
Three people in a silvery blue Toyota got out on Brook Street and attacked some people.
On Jefferson Street, a cellphone was stolen.
The following is a sampling of citations Barre police issued in recent days.
On Feb. 18, Matthew A. Pape, 38, was cited on a charge of prescription fraud. He is to appear in Washington County criminal court April 4 to answer the charge.
