NORTHFIELD — Police say a Northfield man was cited on a charge of simple assault.

Michael Grover, 46, was accused of assaulting someone on North Main Street. Grover was taken into custody by the Department of Corrections because he is on parole.

He is scheduled to appear in Washington County criminal court March 21 to answer the charge.
