    GW completes Ariz. expansion

BETHEL — GW Plastics, a manufacturer of devices for the medical and health care markets, has completed a 12,000-square-foot clean room at the company’s Tucson, Ariz., plant.

The expansion was built to accommodate the relocation of two large contract manufacturing programs.

A program currently in production at GW Plastics’ Dongguan, China, facility consisting of precision molding, assembly and packaging for a drug delivery device, paved the way for the expansion of the Arizona plant.

The new contract will utilize GW Tucson’s advanced injection molding capabilities and its automated assembly and packaging expertise.

The second large medical device program was relocated from Mexico to take advantage of GW’s integrated clean room molding, automated assembly and finished packaging capabilities.

GW Tucson is the company’s leading plant for medical device contract manufacturing, specializing in automated and semi-automated assembly and device packaging.

GW Plastics Inc. is a precision injection molding company, mold builder and contract manufacturer, serving companies in the health care, consumer/industrial, and automotive safety markets. The company has facilities in Bethel and Royalton, Vt.; San Antonio, Texas; Tucson, Ariz.; Querétaro, Mexico; and Dongguan, China.
