Police warn of suspicious couple knocking on doors
DANVILLE – Vermont State Police say they have received reports of a suspicious couple visiting residences in the Danville and Walden area, but the couple could be simply completing a survey.
State police say they received a complaint on Feb. 2 where a black man, approximately 6’3’’ tall, 200 pounds, 30 to 50 years old and a white woman with dark brown hair arrived at a residence, asked questions and left in a silver colored vehicle with out-of-state plates.
A complaint on Feb. 3 described the same couple leaving pamphlets at New England Homecare Union, United Healthcare Workers East-Vermont. The pamphlet listed a website for Service Employees International Union.
State police say several out-of-state companies have been conducting surveys in Vermont and it is believed this couple is doing the same. However, police are still trying to identify the couple and verify their involvement.
