    Nazareth College announced the following students have earned dean’s list honors for the Fall 2012 semester:

    James Chambers of Stowe is a senior studying chemistry.

    Emiline Pelletier of Randolph is a senior studying mathematics.



    Kristin Beaudet of Northfield has been named to the fall 2012 dean’s list at Hofstra University.



    Robyn Kennedy, daughter of Neil and Bonnie Kennedy of Chelsea, was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Kennedy is a senior majoring in mechanical engineering.



    Tufts University recently announced the dean’s list for the fall 2012 semester.

    Among these students is Emily Bartlett of Stowe, class of 2014.



    Virginia Hudson of Barnet graduated in December from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine with a master of science in nursing.



    Stowe resident Samuel Merelman has been named to the dean’s list at James Madison University for the fall 2012 semester. Merelman is a sophomore whose major is sport and recreation management.



    Bentley University announced the names of local residents honored for their outstanding academic achievement in the fall 2012 semester.

    Jillian Goldsworthy of Barre, a junior and accountancy major, was named to the dean’s list.

    Jacob Mucha of Barre, a junior and finance major, was named to the dean’s list.

    Noah Comen of Middlesex, a junior and finance major, was named to the president’s list.



    The University of Rhode Island announced the following students qualified for the fall 2012 dean’s list.

    Alexandra R. Hall of East Montpelier.

    Kyle S. Weinreich of Plainfield.

    Michael Joseph Savage of Jeffersonville.

    Morgan Alexander Wynes of Jeffersonville.



    Timothy Woodin of Randolph was among 1,900 students from Wake Forest University who made the fall 2012 dean’s list.



    Hartwick College junior Michaela Shipman, of Barre, daughter of Barbara and Robert Shipman, has been named to the fall term dean’s list at Hartwick.



    The following hometown residents were named to the dean’s list during the fall 2012 semester at Salve Regina University:

    Mary Cain of Montpelier, a freshman majoring in marketing.

    Mallory Tillotson of Johnson, a freshman. Major: undecided.

    Jane Haser of Waitsfield, a senior majoring in cultural and historic preservation.

    Tanner Skilton of Waitsfield, a junior majoring in business administration.



    Sarah Deasy was a recipient of the dean’s award for academic excellence during the 2012 fall term at Colgate University, where Deasy is a member of the class of 2013.

    Allyson Clodfelter of Adamant is among 307 students who graduated from SUNY Oneonta following the fall 2012 semester. The college’s December Candidate Recognition Ceremony was held on Sunday, Dec. 2.



    Wentworth Institute of Technology announced the names of students who have earned dean’s list recognition for the fall 2012 semester.

    Included in this list was local student Kazimir Cunningham of Randolph.



    The following area students were named to the dean’s list at Paul Smith’s College during the fall 2012 semester.

    Courtney Haynes of Corinth. Haynes majors in forest technology. Haynes was also named an Adirondack Scholar, having achieved a cumulative average of at least 3.8.

    Ian Anderson of Bradford. Anderson majors in natural resources management and policy.

    Colby Martel of East Montpelier. Martel majors in forestry.

    Steven Poulos of St. Johnsbury. Poulos majors in natural resources management and policy.



    Calais’s Caroline Fothergill, a senior at Emerson College, majoring in communication studies, has been chosen to represent the College in the inaugural membership induction to the 2012–13 Purple Key Leadership Society. Recipients of this honor have demonstrated exceptional leadership and service, solid academic achievement, and a commitment to civic engagement. Purple Key Leadership Society recipients will be recognized and honored during the College’s annual Emerson Recognition and Achievement Awards ceremony scheduled for Sunday, April 21, 2013.



    The following students have been selected for inclusion on the dean’s list for academic achievement during the fall 2012 semester at St. Lawrence University.

    Kye C. Ameden, of Fairlee. Ameden, a member of the class of 2014, graduated from Rivendell Academy.

    Jacob T. Brillhart, of West Topsham. Brillhart, a member of the class of 2015, graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy.

    Emlyn R.H. Crocker, of Plainfield. Crocker, a member of the class of 2015, graduated from Twinfield High School.

    Emma M. Duffany, of St. Johnsbury. Duffany, a member of the class of 2015, graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy.

    Kimberly A. Haab, of Stowe. Haab, a member of the class of 2016, graduated from Stowe High School.

    Samantha J. Haab, of Stowe. Haab, a member of the class of 2016, graduated from Stowe High School.

    Bryn W. Keenhold, of Braintree. Keenhold, a member of the class of 2014, graduated from Randolph Union High School.

    Devyn M. LaFrance, of Barre. LaFrance, a member of the class of 2014, graduated from Spaulding High School.

    Stella I. Leach, of Plainfield. Leach, a member of the class of 2013, graduated from Twinfield High School.

    Sierra Miller, of Calais. Miller, a member of the class of 2016, graduated from U-32 Jr-Sr High School.

    Sarah E. Moore, of Waitsfield. Moore, a member of the class of 2014, graduated from Harwood Union High School.

    Jessica L. Normandeau, of Waitsfield. Normandeau, a member of the class of 2015, graduated from Harwood Union High School.

    Brett C. Ostrum, of Montpelier. Ostrum, a member of the class of 2013, graduated from U-32 Jr-Sr High School.



    The following local residents earned bachelor’s degrees from St. Michael’s College, a liberal arts residential Catholic college located in Burlington, Vermont in December 2012:

    Patrick Crannell, son of Suzanne Szermer of Waitsfield, earned a bachelor of arts degree in English.

    Paul Hogan, son of Mary Hogan of Jeffersonville, earned a bachelor of science degree in biology.

    Paul Hogan, son of Matthew Hogan of Hyde Park, earned a bachelor of science degree in biology.

    Eugene Taylor, son of Eugene and Lisa Taylor of Jeffersonville, earned a bachelor of arts degree in political science.
