MONTPELIER — Officials in the Vermont city of Montpelier warning residents of possible flooding from an ice jam.
City officials are monitoring the Winooski River. Officials say an ice jam was released from the Berlin area of the river Thursday morning and was headed toward Montpelier.
The city sent out an urgent alert and recorded calls to residents warning of the danger of flooding and that minor basement flooding has been reported in the Langdon Street area.
Residents in low-lying areas that are prone to flooding are advised to monitor the weather forecasts and updates from the city for changes in the river conditions.MORE IN This Just InBURLINGTON — A woman accused of giving drugs to a woman who overdosed and died and a man who...
