• Barre Police Log: Crate full of tools lost in road

    The following is a sampling of calls Barre police responded to in recent days.



    Jan. 21

    A 48-year-old woman had fallen and had facial injuries on Highland Avenue.

    A two-car accident took place on North Main Street around 11 a.m. No injuries were reported.

    A two-car accident occurred on North Main Street around 12:15 p.m. No injuries were reported.

    A truck was broken into and items were missing from it on Washington Street.

    A two-car accident occurred on Washington Street around 3 p.m. No injuries were reported.

    There was a two-car accident on North Main Street around 3 p.m. with injuries reported.



    Jan. 22

    A car hit a deer on Route 62 around 6:15 a.m. No injuries were reported, but it is unknown whether the deer survived.

    A two-car accident happened on Berlin Street around 7:30 a.m. No injuries were reported.

    A two-car accident happened on North Main Street around 9:45 a.m. Injuries were unknown.

    A milk crate containing more than $1,000 worth of tools fell out of a manís truck somewhere on North Main Street and he was looking for help finding it.

    On Skyline Drive, a vehicle was vandalized.

    An inspection sticker was stolen off a truck on Metro Way.

    Around $300 worth of gasoline was siphoned from two trucks on Blackwell Street.

    Several bags of bottles were stolen from a porch on Mount Street.

    Someone kicked in a manís door on Church Street.



    Jan. 23

    A two-car accident occurred on Smith Street around 10 a.m. No injuries were reported.

    A traffic light on Elm Street was not working properly.



    Jan. 24

    Medication was stolen from a womanís vehicle on North Main Street.

    On North Main Street, a dog was barking viciously and jumped on a handicapped person.

    A student at Choice Academy threatened to bring a gun to school for the second time.



    Jan. 25

    A vehicle was vandalized on South Main Street.

    A two-car accident occurred on Washington Street around 9:30 a.m. No injuries were reported.

    A 37-year-old woman was hit on Second Street by a white car with New Hampshire plates. She said she had leg pain from the incident.



    Jan. 26

    A woman on Washington Street said her son stole her ATM card from her pocket while she slept.

    On North Main Street, a womanís prescription medication was stolen.



    Jan. 27

    Someone broke a window and stole items from a Summer Street residence.

    A mirror was smashed on a vehicle on Brook Street.

    A two-car accident occurred on Summer Street around 10:30 a.m. No injuries were reported.

    Someone with a flashlight was going through a Dumpster on Granite Street.



    The following is a sampling of citations Barre police issued in recent days.

    On Jan. 23, Matthew Bray, 32, was cited on a charge of unlawful trespass. He is scheduled to appear in Washington County criminal court Feb. 28 to answer the charge.

    On Jan. 24, Terrence A. Lacroix, 57, was cited on a charge of driving while intoxicated. He is scheduled to appear in Washington County criminal court Feb. 14.
