WATERBURY – Candidate petitions are due 5 p.m. Monday for Waterbury village and trustee positions.

Village positions need 12 signatures and town positions need 30 signatures. Forms are available at the municipal offices at the Main Street fire station.

In addition to incumbents, whose positions are so far unchallenged, Waterbury has an opening for the Waterbury Town School
Board that incumbent Scott Mackey is choosing not to fill.

The three-member board, where members have three-year terms, serves as a back-up to the Harwood school board when replacements are needed for vacancies there.

A person can’t provide a signature to two candidates seeking the same seat.
