• Montpelier Police Log: Dead dog is found in street

    The following is a sampling of incidents as initially reported to Montpelier police.



    Jan. 14

    A burglary, reported around 6:15 a.m., occurred at Subway.

    A dead dog was found on River Street.

    Money was found on the ground near 132 Main St.



    Jan. 15

    A young man in a blue jacket was considered suspicious.

    A person in a group stole wine from Golden Meadows food market.

    A loud gathering, considered a house party, was reported around 11:20 p.m. in Noble Hall at the Vermont College of Fine Arts.



    Jan. 17

    A door at the high school was propped open around 12:50 a.m. with no one around.



    Jan. 18

    A man was lurking around after he entered a yoga studio.

    A victim was hit and bitten at a River Street apartment.



    Jan. 19

    A black four-door car was parked blocking a Barre Street residence’s driveway.



    Jan. 20

    Two men egged a vehicle in a Hackamore Road driveway and left in a silver car.

    A man who was previously removed from a Cumberland Farms store on Berlin Street was causing another problem.

    Some patrons of the Coffee Corner on Main Street did not pay the full amount of their bill.

    A man was inside a woman’s Main Street apartment when she returned.



    Montpelier police also issued multiple citations, including the following:

    Corinna G. Jordan, 37, of Barre, for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after an incident Sunday evening at the Citgo-owned Parker’s Quick Stop on Berlin Street. She was taken to Northeast Regional Correctional Facility in St. Johnsbury, and she will answer the charges Tuesday.
