    The following Clarkson University students completed internships last summer:

    Tucker Williams, of Hyde Park, a junior majoring in mechanical engineering, interned at Vermont Electric Cooperative Inc. in Johnson.

    Brandon Rouleau, of Barre, a junior majoring in engineering and management, interned at Chase & Chase Land Surveyors in Barre.

    Alex Montgomery, of Lyndon Center, a freshman majoring in mechanical engineering, interned at NSA Industries in Lyndonville.

    Matthew Desmarais, of Barre, a senior majoring in mechanical engineering, interned at Mylan Technologies in St. Albans.

    Cornell University’s Luke Grosvenor of Stowe has been placed on the Dean’s List of the College of Arts and Sciences for Excellence in Scholarship for the fall 2012 semester.

    Earlier this month, Wagner College on Staten Island, N.Y., released its academic honor lists for the fall 2012 semester. Sophia M. Puleio, of Middlesex, made the Dean’s List, which requires a 3.70 GPA for the semester.

    Air Force Airman Michael-Reed A. Garfield graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an Associate in Applied Science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Garfield is the son of Pamela Montgomery, of Old Duke Road, Hardwick. He is a 2012 graduate of Cabot School.

    Ryan Joseph Ayer, of Middlesex, has been named to the Dean’s List at The Citadel, the military college of South Carolina, for academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2012-2013 academic year. Ayer is a cadet seeking a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

    Navy Seaman Recruit Brockton W. Cameron, son of Tara H. Reil, of East Barre, and William E. Cameron, of Montpelier, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. During the eight-week program, Cameron completed a variety of trainings which included classroom study and practical instruction on naval customs, first aid, firefighting, water safety and survival, and shipboard and aircraft safety. An emphasis was also placed on physical fitness. Cameron is a 2012 graduate of Spaulding High School in Barre.

    Greggory Skowronski, of Waitsfield, was awarded dean’s list honors for academic achievement during the fall 2012 semester at St. Mary’s College of Maryland.

    Several area residents have been named to the fall 2012 Dean’s List at Champlain College for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

    The honored students are:

    Evan Tetreault, of Montpelier, majoring in game design and the son of Andrew Tetreault and Claudia Lovell, of Montpelier.

    Olivia Fraser, of Montpelier, majoring in early childhood/elementary education and the daughter of Anne and William Fraser, of Montpelier.

    Amber Couture, of East Montpelier, majoring in radiography and the daughter of Daniel and Lise Couture, of East Montpelier.

    Alyssa Perkins-Chatterton, of Johnson, majoring in psychology and the daughter of Elizabeth Perkins-Chatterton, of Johnson.

    Linda Mallo, of Hardwick, majoring in accounting and the daughter of Gary and Paula Mallo, of Hardwick.

    Carol-Ann Labbe-Thibouthot, of Waterbury, majoring in psychology and the daughter of Louise Labbe and Denis Thibouthot, of Waterbury.

    Emily Gray, of Bradford, majoring in public relations and the daughter of Mary-Ellen and Thomas Gray, of Bradford.

    Christopher Thibault, of Montpelier, majoring in secondary education-English and the son of Molly Paulger, of Montpelier.

    Nicole Tetreault, of Lowell, majoring in marketing and the daughter of Michael Tetreault and Pamela Tetreault, of Lowell.

    Lawuo Dolo, of St. Johnsbury, majoring in accounting and the daughter of Tokpa Dolo, of Paynesville, Liberia.

    The following area students were recently named to the winter honor roll at the Loomis Chaffee School.

    Ryan Springer-Miller, a senior from Stowe, was named to the high honor roll.

    Theodore Lyons, a sophomore from East Hardwick, was named to the honor roll.

    Located in Windsor, Conn., Loomis Chaffee is an internationally recognized college preparatory school for grades 9-12.

    The following students were named to the Becker College dean’s list for fall 2012.

    Shannon Smith of Barre, who is pursuing a degree in business administration.

    Jessica Brochu of Hardwick, who is pursuing a degree in veterinary science.

    Kirsten Lawson of Middlesex, who is pursuing a degree in veterinary science.
