    In her Dec. 24 article “Composting comes of age in Vermont,” the author does us all a great disservice by describing home composting as “not for the squeamish.” Her inclusion of Mr. Brock’s experience with poor vermiculture management has no bearing on the issue at hand.

    No one needs to bring worms or gnats into their home to compost their kitchen organics. In fact, home composting is much easier and much cleaner than including organic material in one’s kitchen garbage.
