MIDDLESEX A public forum will be held Wednesday to discuss the long-term plans of the Vermont State Police facility in the Middlesex area.

The forum will be held at the barracks in Middlesex on Route 2 at 6 p.m. It will give central Vermont residents a chance to give feedback and ask questions about the state police facilities and programs.

The state police, along with the state Department of Buildings and General Services, say they have begun a comprehensive review of state police facilities statewide. The purpose of the review is to outline the program needs, deficiencies of current facilities, potential land sites and estimated program costs of the state police. The goal is to create a long-term plan that determines the best way to support state police in providing services to Vermonters.

For more information, contact Vermont State Police Public Information Officer Stephanie Dasaro at 279-9773.
