BARRE — Those looking to avoid the Black Friday shopping madness are invited to a free meal at the Old Labor Hall on Granite Street in Barre on Friday.

The event will be put on by Food Not Bombs of Central Vermont and will feature music from the likes of the Raging Grannies and Doo-Occupy. There is no admission charge, and there will be a free market.

The event goes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
