Proud to be part of race

I want to take this occasion to compliment my fellow candidates, Sens. Bill Doyle, Anthony Pollina and Ann Cummings, and fellow challengers Dexter LaFavour and Jeremy Hansen, on an exemplary contest. All of them contributed to an issue-oriented campaign built on substance and completely void of rancor and I commend each and every one of them.

The voters of Washington County were blessed with a field of highly qualified, and principled candidates with an interesting mix of qualifications, philosophies and personalities.

I am confident that the three re-elected incumbents will continue to serve their constituents well while the rest of us will return to our roles as concerned citizens, each contributing in our own way to make Vermont an even better place to live and work.

Lastly, I can never thank my loyal supporters enough, so here I go again. Thank you for all you have done for Jackie and me and for Washington County and our beloved state. May the years before us bring good health and prosperity to all the citizens of the great and proud little state of Vermont.
