    Elizabeth Perojo Rites

    BARRE CITY — A Mass of Christian Burial was concelebrated on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at 11 a.m. in St. Monica Catholic Church in Barre, for Elizabeth Perojo, 90, of Jefferson Apartments in Barre. She passed away on Oct. 26, 2012, at the Woodridge Nursing Home in Berlin.

    The principle celebrant was Msgr. Reid C. Mayo, pastor emeritus of Christ the King Parish of Rutland, assisted by Rev. Leopold J. Bilodeau, pastor of the church.

    Crucifer Lawrence Reilly was altar server and led the Prayer of the Faithful.

    Organist and soloist Rosemary Badeau accompanied vocalists Sarah Procopio and Romeo Bilodeau in the hymns, “Be Not Afraid,” “The Lord Is My Shepherd,” “Prayer Of St. Francis,” “Come Back To Me,” “Song of Farewell” and “Here I Am, Lord.”

    Words of remembrance were offered by John Goodrich, son-in-law.

    A reading from the Old Testament was read by Joseph Miana, cousin, and Jefferson Goodrich, grandson, read scriptures from the New Testament.

    Offertory gifts were presented at the altar by Emily Goodrich, Elizabeth Goodrich and Andre Goodrich, all great-grandchildren.

    A prayer service was held Friday morning at the Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home in Barre and was led by Msgr. Mayo.

    Pallbearers were Jefferson Goodrich, grandson, Sarah Wallace-Brodeur, daughter-in-law, Georgia Goodrich, granddaughter, and Patrick Nott, grandson.

    Burial followed the Mass in Hope Cemetery in Barre where Msgr. Mayo and Father Bilodeau led the Committal Prayers.

    Following the burial, family and friends gathered at the Hilltop Restaurant on Quarry Hill Road for a time of fellowship and luncheon.

    Arrangements were in the care of the Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home, 58 Summer St., Barre.
