MONTPELIER — More than 200 crafters and artists are expected to convene in downtown Montpelier for the Montpelier Craft and Art Weekend on Dec. 7-9.

After nearly two decades of holding separate craft fairs during the same weekend, the Planting Hope Solidarity Craft Fair and the Touch of Vermont Holiday Gift Market, a fundraiser for OUR House of Central Vermont, have teamed up with Montpelier Alive to organize the upcoming three days of events and activities.

“Vermont has such a vibrant craft and art scene, I love seeing it take hold in Montpelier,” said Claire Fitts, market manager for the Touch of Vermont Holiday Gift Market, in a news release. “It’s very exciting to be part of the Montpelier Craft and Art Weekend. This weekend is really drawing artisans from all over the region, with all sorts of new stuff that Montpelier hasn’t seen before.”

The Montpelier Craft and Art Weekend is accepting applications for vendors. Contact Daniel Staples at 279-9285 for more information.
