Where was the proofreader?
In an attempt to support local media, I have continued to subscribe to The Times Argus for many years. I felt it was one of my civic duties. I must finally admit, however, you guys are killing me. From an eight-page paper for $1, to news that is three days old, to stories that are continued in far distant space; I’m sorry, but you’re supposed to be professionals, aren’t you? After all the time I have spent reading the TA, you should have how to run a newspaper down pretty well. So, puuulease tell me how you can run a 28-point headline in the sports section and misspell “gloves.”
Golves
Is there a proofreader in the building? Does anyone look at the paper as it rolls off the press? Do you give a damn? Why am I paying for this?
