MONTPELIER — Margaret “Peg” Mason Dwinell died on October 12, 2012, in Burlington, Vt.

She was born at home on April 6, 1916, in Randolph, Vt., to Edward H. and Mary M. Mason. She was educated in Randolph schools and later graduated from Webber College with a degree in business.

After her husband retired, they traveled extensively; she visited 56 countries over the years. Her husband passed away in 1996.

She is survived by her three children, Bancroft Jr. and his wife Elizabeth of Burlington, James of Norwich, and Jane and her husband Sky Yardley of Montpelier; her eight grandchildren, Thomas Dwinell, Mason Dwinell, Ashley Clapp, Mary Beth Zabowsky, Dana Dwinell-Yardley, Sayer Dwinell-Yardley, Harry Dwinell and Sophia Dwinell; and her seven great-grandchildren, Allison, Jake, Lilly, Skyler, Hayden, Michael Jr. and Nyah.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2012, in Green Mount Cemetery in Montpelier, Vt. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can go to the Kellogg Hubbard Library, 135 Main St., Montpelier, VT 05602; or the First Universalist Parish, PO Box 454, Derby Line, VT 05830.
