Cathy A. Duda

SOMERS, Conn. — Cathy Ann (Sunde) Duda was born Aug. 1, 1955, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, Conn.

Cathy graduated from Wethersfield (CT) High School, and attained an associate degree at Colby Sawyer College and a bachelor’s degree from Westfield State College.

She was employed at Nobel Hospital for 35 years as a medical technologist and resided in Somers for the last 22 years.

On Sept. 30, 2012, Cathy died in the arms of Raymond Duda, her husband of 22 years, at their home in Somers.

In addition to her husband, Cathy leaves behind her parents, Raymond and Nancy Sunde, of Montpelier, VT; brother, John Sunde of West Hartford; sister Joy (Sunde) Thomas of Montpelier; nieces Kali Flynn and Abigail Sunde; nephews MJ and David Thomas, and Andrew and Ian Sunde.

Funeral services will be held at All Saints Church in Somers at 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 20, 2012.
