Left gets it right

Today I got a solicitation and a filled out absentee ballot application from “Vermonters First” imploring me to vote absentee so we can “...stand up to those job killing anti freedom policies...” being pursued in Montpelier, and I assume Washington. I tried to go to this organization’s web site to give them a piece of what little mind I have left, but the link they give is not a valid one, a harbinger of their well oiled organizational capacity and accuracy, no doubt.

I am quite happy to support the re-election of Governor Shumlin, Senator Sanders and Congressman Welch, especially after reading last week’s news coverage of the Census Bureau report which found that only Vermont had both an increase in per capita income and a reduction in the number of citizens living below the poverty line in 2011. Granted, our nation has many serious problems, but in light of this Vermonters First diatribe, I am moved to ask, if we are so “left”, how come our elected Democratic and Progressive governor, senator, and congressman are able to get it right?
