Protest planned over wind projects todayOctober 12,2012
MONTPELIER — A protest will occur at 11 a.m. today on the Statehouse lawn, arguing that utility-scale wind projects do not reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
The rally seeks to advocate for the protection of the state’s mountains and protest the development of utility-scale wind projects. Organizers plan to award a “Certificate of Public Harm” to the Shumlin administration, the Public Service Department and the Public Service Board.
A charter bus is planned to arrive with advocates.MORE IN This Just InWeston Playhouse Theatre Company opened its 79th season with a slice of Vermont hick. Full Story“Press that white button!
