• Convicted arsonist to get jury draw for new charges

    BARRE – The Roxbury man convicted of the 2010 Memorial Day fire that burned the Aldrich Block will have a jury draw in two months for his newest charges.

    Nicholas Witham, 19, is facing charges of possessing child pornography and piercing people illegally. Jury draw is set for Dec. 12.

    According to court records, Witham had electronic devices that contained child pornography and he also allegedly pierced a woman’s nose, her daughter’s nose, and her son’s lip without a license.

    He is serving a seven-year deferred sentence for convictions of arson and burglary in August.
