Of all the statewide office-seekers in this election, Beth Pearce is the most qualified for her position. As Vermont state treasurer, Beth has pulled off the truly remarkable feat of improving the bond rating of the state of Vermont, which is the strongest in New England. Treasurer Pearce did this despite the recession and Tropical Storm Irene. In fact, under Treasurer Pearce’s leadership, Standard and Poor’s Rating Services recently improved Vermont’s bond rating outlook to “positive.” Given the economic circumstances, that is nothing short of extraordinary.

Of all the elected offices, state treasurer is the least political. This position requires a trusted professional. With 35 years of experience and a decade spent in the treasurer’s office, Beth Pearce is the most qualified and competent candidate. Unlike her politically motivated opponent, Treasurer Pearce has a record of keeping her head above the political fray and making decisions that benefit Vermont taxpayers over her political party. Because of these facts, a majority of Vermont business owners and labor unions have endorsed the treasurer’s candidacy.

On Nov. 6, vote for the bottom line. Vote for the candidate who saves Vermont taxpayers millions of dollars each year. Vote for Beth Pearce for Vermont state treasurer.
