Landfill hearing set for Oct. 11
MORETOWN — The second public meeting about a proposed landfill expansion in Moretown will be held Thursday.
The meeting, held by the town’s Development Review Board, will be at the temporary town hall at 19 Kaiser Drive at 7 p.m.
Moretown residents have complained about the smell of the landfill, and state environmental regulators say the landfill’s management needs to address their concerns about groundwater contamination.
The landfill is one of two in the state that handle municipal waste.
After Thursday, the next public meeting about the landfill will be Thursday, Oct. 25.MORE IN This Just InCASTLETON — Rutland Post 31 pitcher Andy Kenosh called it “mojo.
