Texting at meetings shows arrogance
I was very disappointed to read about the Montpelier City Council’s apparent practice in which some members have been “texting” each other during meetings in order to discuss, out of public view, matters before the council. At best, this is sloppy governing. At worst, it’s arrogant and secretive. I commend the Argus for pursuing this story (which apparently required a formal records request) and shining light on a disturbing situation.
