James F. Carroll

WATERBURY CENTER — James F. “Jimmy” Carroll passed away Sept. 1, 2012. Jimmy was born in 1924, the son of James F. Carroll and Emily (Toohill) Carroll. Jimmy graduated from Amityville (N.Y.) High School and entered the U.S. Navy, where he served as a Navy Air Force navigator.

He lived in Waterbury Center for many years with his sister and brother-in-law, Emily and Ernest Metayer. While living in Vermont, Jimmy worked for the Metayer Construction Co.

Jimmy was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Josephine; and his siblings Emily, Bill, Jack, Francis and Joan.

He is survived by his sister Virginia Schneider and her husband, Robert. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Burial was Sept. 7, 2012, at Trinity Cemetery in North Amityville, N.Y.
