NEW HAVEN — Police are looking for a driver who led them on a chase through three Vermont towns and 12 miles before getting away.

Vermont State Police said a trooper tried to pull over a truck on Plank Road in New Haven just before midnight Monday. The truck had no headlights and the driver ran a stop sign.

But police said the truck didn’t stop. State police chased it through Bristol, New Haven and Monkton. Bristol and Vergennes police joined the pursuit before it was called off.
