Which site is the right site?

Letter sent to Jeb Spaulding and Mike Obuchowski at the state of Vermont regarding the temporary psych hospital planned:

Several weeks ago I contacted you as a concerned taxpayer regarding your desire to acquire the “flea market” parcel for a temporary psych hospital.

I was concerned about the cost and the fact that the land would be removed from the tax rolls. You gave me a somewhat convincing argument for pursuing the matter.

Now, I learn that there is a parcel of land, described by you: “This location is ideal from several perspectives,” and it is free.

Again as a concerned taxpayer, it seems like you were hell-bent to spend my money without my permission when there was a free and ideal location sitting almost next to your offices.

I would be very interested why you have decided not to spend my money without my permission.
