    Kudos for Marshfield paving

You always hear complaints about construction on the road and the problems this causes for everyone. I wish I knew the paving company responsible for the work done east of Marshfield on Route 2 by the Marshfield Reservoir as well as the planners, because they deserve a standing ovation for the work started last year and completed this past week.

When they started this work, I was very disappointed in the number of trees removed even though I knew the water line needed to be repaired or replaced. This section of road was very dangerous due to the curves, especially in the winter. Usually when work is done, you don’t see much thought put into scenery or landscaping.

If you haven’t driven through this section recently, you should. The landscaping is beautiful, the scenery is breathtaking, and I commend everyone who planned this project. I also travel this route frequently and all of the workers were kind and considerate of the traffic that uses this route, and there were never any long waits. At the end of the day or end of Friday, they had the road well marked to eliminate any question about where you had to go. Great job!
