Patricia M. Metevier

MORETOWN — Patricia M. Metevier, 66, of Fairground Road, passed away in the comfort of her home and family Tuesday evening, Aug. 21, 2012. Born in Colchester on April 17, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Leon Hibbard Sr. and Lora (Murray) Hibbard. On Oct. 7, 1968, she married Theodore L. Metevier in Colchester. Theodore predeceased Patricia on Jan. 31, 1995.

As a young woman Patricia worked for the former Forest Hills Factory Outlet in Winooski and then following her marriage, she remained busy and happy as a homemaker and raising her family. An avid bingo player, she also enjoyed crocheting and a variety of crafts.

Patricia is survived by her children, Deborah Hussey and her husband, Timothy, of Graniteville, Ronald Metevier and his wife, Mary, of Hardwick, Brian Metevier, of Windsor, and Theodore E. Metevier and his wife, Cheryl, of Williamstown; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; four sisters, Betty Cota, of Essex Junction, Mary Kelley, of Underhill, Beatrice Russin, of Westford, and Linda Chagnon, of Winooski; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family. She was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Shores, and two brothers, Leon Hibbard Jr. and Clifford Hibbard.

Funeral services will be held from the Wesley United Methodist Church in Waterbury Monday, Aug. 27, 2012, at 11 a.m. where friends may call from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service.
