FAIRFIELD — A Vermont man has died after an ATV crash in Fairfield.

Vermont State Police say 60-year-old Charles Boylan died on Wednesday.

Police responded to a call about an ATV accident on West Road around 9:30 a.m.

Boylan, the operator of the ATV, was taken to Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans, where he was pronounced dead.

Police say neither speed nor alcohol appear to be factors in the crash.

Police say an autopsy will be performed in the next few days.
