The U.S. Attorney’s office says a 25-year-old Vermont man is going to spend 15 months in prison after pleading guilty to a federal charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
The case against Daniel Corliss of Alburgh began on Jan. 25, 2011, when he reported to the Vermont State Police that someone had fired several shotgun blasts at his home.
Police found six shotgun shells near his house, but later determined that Corliss had fired the shotgun at his own house.
