    Frederick W. Coburn II

    EAST MONTPELIER — Frederick Wendell Coburn II, 66, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Aug. 1, 2012.

    Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held at 9:30 a.m. today at Faith Assembly, with pastor Allen Byerly officiating. Graveside military honors will follow in National Cemetery, Salisbury, N.C.

    A native of East Montpelier, “Rick” was the son of Marah Dutton and Frederick Wendell Coburn. He served his country in the Vietnam War with the U.S. Navy. He was a physician’s assistant at Dayspring Medical Center. He was a member of Faith Assembly of God for 37 years. He also was a councilman for Light for the Lost.

    Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Joyce M. Coburn; daughters Cheryl Fisher and Jeremy, of Kernersville, N.C., Tamara Kessler and Cade, of Freedom, Pa., and Erin Lastinger and Robert, of Lexington, S.C.; grandchildren Mara Kessler, Emma Fisher, Jake Fisher and Sophia Haven Lastinger; sister Beverly Lavin, of East Montpelier; niece Wendy and nephews Randy and Robert; he also leaves a host of extended family and friends.
