Joyce E. Willey
WOLCOTT — Joyce Edna Willey, 86, of Lake Worth, Fla., died July 6, 2012, at JFK Memorial Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Fla.
She was born in Wolcott on Nov. 27, 1925, the daughter of Ralph and Lila (Lanphere) Greene, and attended local schools.
She was a waitress employed at restaurants in Hardwick, Newport and Derby Line, as well as in Florida, retiring in the early 2000s.
She enjoyed camping and word-find puzzles.
Survivors include her longtime companion, Jim Hill, of Lake Worth; two sons, Kenneth Willey, of East Montpelier, and Phil Willey, of Barre; a brother, Clarence “Stub” Greene Jr., of Fitchburg, Mass.; three stepsiblings, Herb Parkhurst, of Morrisville, Barbara Beeman, of Casa Grande, Ariz., and Doris LaBree, of North Wolcott; two grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Darlene Ertle, in 2003 and a stepbrother, Earl Parkhurst.
The graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 29, in Main Street Cemetery in Hardwick.
