SOUTH BARRE — The committal service for Ruth M. Buzzi, of the South Barre Road, was held Thursday, July 12, 2012, at 11 a.m. in the Hope Cemetery in Barre. She died July 6, 2012, at the Woodridge Nursing Home in Berlin.

The Rev. Richard Painchaud, former pastor of the East Barre Congregational Church and family friend, led the service and read the text of the song “On the Wings of a Dove,” written by Ferlin Husky.

Granddaughter Marie Graham offered words of remembrance, and family friend Mark Bellview sang and led the congregation in the hymn “Amazing Grace.”

The Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy St., Barre, was in charge of the arrangements.
