MONTPELIER — An altercation between two men at a Cummings Street apartment resulted in one being charged with disorderly conduct.

According to the police report, the men got into an argument that involved some pushing and shoving.

The incident went on for more than two hours.

At one point, a witness told police that William Bowden, 38, of Barre, was outside the apartment building “running his mouth,” using foul language and throwing things at one of the apartments.

When it was finally over, police cited Bowden on a charge of disorderly conduct. He is to appear in court Aug. 2.
