ROYALTON — A Plainfield woman was involved in a single-car accident in Royalton around 5:15 p.m. Monday.
Elizabeth Nelson, 19, was southbound on Interstate 89 when she swerved to avoid a piece of plastic. Nelson lost control of her vehicle and hit a guardrail in the left lane, police said.
Her father, Michael Nelson, was a passenger in the vehicle. The vehicle had heavy damage to its front end and was towed from the scene.
