In your own front yard
Once again, Mayor Thomas Lauzon, you’ve totally missed the point.
In his letter, “Totally off-base” the good mayor laments my observation that his huge public stink over the so called “homeless” sex offender was a tempest in a teapot. He completely failed to acknowledge my research that found that nearly 40 sex offenders reside in Barre.
Where’s the chest-thumping over that? Instead, I’m full of “a bunch of Maloney?” Hah! Surely he can come up with a better personal insult. In addition, I can concede that being homeless isn’t a crime. Certainly, Barre has welcomed not only it’s own homeless, but all others who choose to flock to its plethora of shelter options. My point being is that if Mr. Lauzon is serious about reconstructing Barre’s somewhat skeezy and tattered image, he would best look at what’s gong on right in front of the City Hall.
I realize he can’t see it from where he lives, high in the hills bordering Barre Town, but the rest of us can.
