Richard C. Crutchfield III

NORTH MONTPELIER — Richard C. Crutchfield III, 47, died May 29, 2012.

Born Nov. 15, 1964, in Baltimore, Md., he was the son of Richard C. and Parthenia (Smith) Crutchfield II and attended local schools.

He was a self-employed general carpenter for many years.

He enjoyed music, writing songs, playing bass guitar and watching football.

Survivors include his wife, Emmy Powers-Crutchfield, of North Montpelier, whom he married Oct. 15, 2010, in Barre; four children, Melissa, Sarah, Melvin and Jason, of Baltimore, Md.; two stepsons, Elmer and Andrew, both of Barre; two grandchildren; two siblings, John and Elaine; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents.

The service of remembrance will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, June 15, at the Baptist Fellowship, 84 Summer St. in Barre.
