BOLTON — A 30-year-old man was killed in an excavator accident in Bolton.

State police said Matthew Christenson of Shrewsbury was conducting trail maintenance near an access road on Thursday when the skid steer loader he was operating rolled down a steep embankment several times, ejecting Christenson.

State police, a medical examiner, Vermont’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and local rescue crews responded to the crash.
