Rites

MONTPELIER — A funeral Mass for Dario Buzzi, who died May 17, 2012, at his home, was held Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church. The Rev. Michael Augustinowitz, pastor of the church, officiated the Mass, and Rosemary Badeau was organist cantor. Special soloist Carmen Nolan, caregiver, sang “How Great Thou Art.”

Words of remembrance were offered by son David Buzzi and grandson Nicolas Buzzi.

Readers for the Mass were son Carlo Buzzi and grandson Christopher Buzzi.

Pallbearers were grandsons Christopher and Nicolas Buzzi; grandnephew Rory MacDonald; nephews Ed Cano and Paul Cano; and cousin Doug Zorzi.

Offertory gifts were presented at the altar by son Danny Buzzi and daughter-in-law Rosa Buzzi.

The Rev. Augustinowitz led a family prayer service during calling hours Sunday afternoon.

Burial was at Berlin Corners Cemetery, and the Vermont Army National Guard provided military honors and presented the American flag to Mrs. Concha Buzzi.
